Jr NTR's Injury Boosts Salaar 2 Prep
13 Aug
Summary
- Jr NTR's shoulder surgery causes Dragon filming delays.
- Prashanth Neel will advance Salaar 2 pre-production.
- Dragon remains on track for its June 2027 release.

Filmmaker Prashanth Neel is set to advance pre-production for "Salaar 2: Shouryaanga Parvam" following Jr NTR's shoulder surgery. The actor sustained an injury in late July and underwent arthroscopic surgery on August 12, 2026, at KIMS Hospitals in Secunderabad. He is expected to resume his normal routine within two to three months.
This recovery period will allow Neel to focus on the writing, action planning, and pre-visualization for "Salaar 2." Meanwhile, production on Jr NTR's current film, "Dragon," will continue with scenes not requiring the actor's presence. The team plans to adjust the schedule around his recovery.
"Dragon," which marks the first collaboration between Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel, is currently slated for a June 2027 theatrical release. The production team anticipates that the schedule adjustments will not impact this release date, given the ample time available before the film's debut.
