JP THE WAVY & Murakami Drop "SHUTOKO TOKYO"

The collaborative project MNNK Bro., by JP THE WAVY and Takashi Murakami, has unveiled its fourth official single, "SHUTOKO TOKYO." This release signifies a new creative phase for the duo, as described by JP THE WAVY. The single is complemented by an extended remix that spans over 30 minutes and features a music video from the New York filmmaking team BRTHR.

JP THE WAVY elaborated that "SHUTOKO TOKYO" showcases a more distinct personal style, with rapid-fire rapping over an energetic beat. He highlighted the Shutoko Expressway's cultural significance in Japan and its international appeal, linking it to global street racing aesthetics found in media like "Fast & Furious" and "Akira." This envisioned fusion of local imagery and global pop culture influenced the song's creation.
