Joshua's Ketamine Battle: Six Baggies Nightly

Joshua, an alum of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, has detailed his intense battle with ketamine addiction in his new memoir, Rookie: My Public, Private and Secret Life. He revealed that at the height of his addiction, he was consuming six baggies of ketamine every single night, alone.

The 25-year-old explained that ketamine tolerance increases exceptionally fast, approximately 600 percent quickly. What initially required a small amount to achieve a high escalated to needing an entire bag.

Joshua described this period as an uncontrollable spiral, where his sole means of coping or feeling functional was through being heavily intoxicated. This out-of-control situation eventually led him to a breaking point where seeking professional help became necessary.

His inner circle observed that he was 'drowning' in his attempts to cope or feel good. This observation prompted him to find the resources needed for recovery and to begin his journey back to health.
