Josh Weathers, a Texas-based musician, has released "Neon Never Fades," an album dedicated to his cowboy heritage. This collection of 11 tracks features prominent steel guitar and fiddle, marking a clear departure into traditional country music for the artist.
The album's release follows a landmark year for Weathers. In July 2025, he successfully raised more than $430,000 for Hill Country flood relief through a social media livestream. Subsequently, he was honored as Entertainer of the Year at the annual Texas Country Music Awards in November 2025.
Despite not releasing new music since 2019, Weathers secured a publishing deal with Sea Gayle Music. He collaborated with Nashville songwriters, co-writing seven songs on "Neon Never Fades." Notably, his song "Who's Hanging the Moon?" was the most played Texas country song of 2025.
Weathers draws inspiration from entertainers like Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Presley, and Prince for his live performances. He is currently touring extensively in Texas throughout April, with upcoming dates at Gruene Hall and participation in the Rock the Coast Texas music cruise.
