Kidman, Fanning Reunite for Legal Thriller 'Discretion'

Josh Lucas has been cast in the upcoming legal drama series 'Discretion,' joining stars Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning. The show, which has received an eight-episode order, is based on Chandler Baker's short story of the same name. Production is scheduled to commence later this year.

The narrative centers on Lenny, a summer associate at a prominent Dallas law firm. She uncovers a complex network of non-disclosure agreements that conceal a disturbing reality. When she realizes she is also bound by a similar agreement, her findings place her in direct conflict with Sharon, the firm's most influential female partner, portrayed by Kidman.

This unfolding conflict challenges the established mentor-protégé relationship, prompting a reevaluation of who controls sensitive information and the repercussions of such power. Josh Lucas will play Greg, the husband of Kidman's character, adding another layer to the unfolding drama. The series is expected to air on Paramount+ in 2027.
