Actor Josh Brolin has officially sold his Sandy Springs, Georgia, estate for $4 million. Brolin and his wife, Kathryn Boyd Brolin, had originally purchased the property six years prior for $3.25 million. The decision to sell comes after the couple and their family relocated to California.
The expansive property, situated on a 1.48-acre lot, spans between 7,700 and 11,500 square feet. It boasts seven bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms, along with a detached guesthouse. Notable features include a screened rotunda with a fireplace, a lagoon-style heated pool, and extensive renovations by the Brolins.
These upgrades included the addition of a basement home theater and a professional-grade gym with a custom sauna and cold plunge. Despite Brolin's expressed dissatisfaction with the Sandy Springs area, preferring more 'grit,' the sale still resulted in a profit from the initial purchase price. The property was initially listed in April of this year for $4.999 million, with subsequent price adjustments before the final sale.
While the Sandy Springs home was on the market, it was also offered as a rental at $35,000 per month. The Brolins acquired a new farmhouse in Santa Barbara, California, in 2024 for $7.1 million, signaling their new chapter on the West Coast.
