- The album 'Ranjha' is scheduled for release on May 8.
- The new record follows their 2015 collaboration 'Junun'.

Musician Jonny Greenwood, known for his work with Radiohead, is reuniting with Israeli composer Shye Ben Tzur and the Rajasthan Express for a new album. Titled 'Ranjha', the record is slated for release on May 8 via World Circuit. This collaboration follows their previous work, 'Junun', which was released in 2015.
The recording sessions for 'Ranjha' took place in an Oxford studio, a different environment than their previous 2015 album 'Junun', which was recorded in a historic Indian fort. Tzur described the studio setting as an opportunity to achieve a clearer sound while creatively utilizing the studio's features. Greenwood, who also records with Thom Yorke and Tom Skinner as The Smile, contributed to this project, with Skinner also performing on the album.
Greenwood has a history of collaborations with Israeli artists, being married to Israeli artist Sharona Katan and having previously worked with Dudu Tassa. A notable discussion arose when Yorke stated Radiohead would not perform in Israel under Benjamin Netanyahu's premiership, a stance Greenwood expressed disagreement with, suggesting boycotts could be counterproductive.
