For twenty years, TV presenter and actor Jonathan Wilkes has been a beloved fixture in Christmas pantomime at Stoke-on-Trent's Regent Theatre. He has starred in all but one of the festive productions since 2005, becoming a local legend. Wilkes, who also co-founded Soccer Aid with Robbie Williams, shows no intention of retiring from the stage anytime soon. He recently stated his commitment to performing remains strong, with "more fire than ever."
The upcoming 2026 production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will mark his 20th panto appearance at the theatre, coinciding with his 21st year since his debut. The only panto Wilkes missed was Aladdin in 2011, which featured Joe Swash. A production was also cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic, highlighting the resilience of his long-standing commitment to the theatre's Christmas shows.
