Summary
- Jonathan Ross selected as a traitor on 'The Celebrity Traitors' BBC series
- Ross found the lying and deception in the game "increasingly uncomfortable"
- The show's premiere attracted a record 6.5M audience in the UK

On October 14th, 2025, it was revealed that veteran presenter Jonathan Ross struggled with his role as a traitor on the BBC's reality series 'The Celebrity Traitors'. Ross, who was selected as a murderous game player in the opening episode, worked alongside fellow traitors Cat Burns and Alan Carr to hunt down the faithful contestants.
Speaking on his podcast, Ross admitted that he found the game increasingly uncomfortable as the series progressed, due to the constant lying required. "We were lying all the time, because you're sharing a car with people in the morning, and even though we're not meant to be talking about the game, obviously sometimes people do," he explained.
Despite the show's success, with the premiere episode attracting a record 6.5M audience in the UK, Ross did not enjoy the experience of being a traitor. He has even cautioned two celebrity friends who were approached to appear in the second season, advising them about the psychological challenges of the game.
