Comedian and actor Jonah Hill incorporated a pointed joke about Kanye West into his new movie, Outcome. This humor stems from a 2023 Instagram post by West, a Jewish figure, where he stated that watching Hill's performance in 21 Jump Street made him 'like Jewish people again.'

Hill, who is Jewish, discussed the rapper's "bizarre public thing" on The Zane Lowe Show. He clarified that the joke, where a character's assistant claims hating Jews 'helps your career' accompanied by West's photo, was not solely a jab at Kanye. Hill expressed admiration for West as an artist, calling him possibly the greatest ever, but also acknowledged the "hate stuff" as regrettable.

Furthermore, Hill remarked to SiriusXM that the joke highlights the "weird" nature of culture, where one can promote antisemitism and still achieve significant success, referencing West's recent sold-out concerts and festival appearances despite widespread backlash and withdrawn sponsorships.

West has faced severe criticism for numerous antisemitic remarks and associated imagery, including a song titled "Heil Hitler" and swastika-emblazoned merchandise. While West issued an apology for his antisemitic statements in an ad earlier this year, he has not elaborated further.
