Jon Bernthal Slams 'Dog Racism' Against Pit Bulls

Actor Jon Bernthal has voiced strong opposition to the widespread fear of pit bull dogs, characterizing it as a form of 'dog racism.' During a recent appearance, Bernthal argued that fearing an entire breed is entirely unfounded and comparable to prejudice based on race or sexual orientation. He explained that pit bulls are not any more prone to biting than smaller breeds like Chihuahuas.

Bernthal's stance aligns with the perspective of the ASPCA, which advocates for evaluating each dog on an individual basis, irrespective of breed. The organization notes that the behavioral traits of pit bull-type dogs can vary widely due to random breeding practices.
