Siwa officially confirmed their romance in June 2025, telling People that their meeting felt like "serendipity." She described their connection as beautiful and stated she is "head over heels" for Hughes.
Speaking to The Sun's Fabulous Magazine in December 2025, Siwa alluded to a future proposal, humorously suggesting she might propose if Hughes, who is 33, did not within seven years. Hughes had previously expressed he would be "uncomfortable" if Siwa proposed to him.
