This significant two-meter-tall white bronze artwork is scheduled to be presented outdoors at the historic Tersane Istanbul shipyard during the Contemporary Istanbul art fair, which runs from September 22 to 27.
The striking sculpture, described as a 'half-human, half-rabbit guardian carrying a sword of truth,' draws its origins from a childhood dream Depp experienced and a drawing made by his son, Jack, when he was approximately five years old. This figure has since become a recurring motif in Depp's artistic creations, appearing across his sketches, paintings, and prints.
This artistic endeavor is a collaborative effort involving the Sigg Art Foundation, Pantheon Art, and Fonderia Artistica Battaglia in Milan. The unveiling in Istanbul coincides with Depp's major exhibition, 'A Bunch of Stuff,' at the Modern Art Museum Shanghai, which showcases over 200 of his diverse artworks.
