Depp Recalls 'Bliss' with Paradis, Fatherhood

Johnny Depp recently reminisced about his past relationship with French partner Vanessa Paradis, labelling their time together as 'bliss.' The actor shared that he had the invaluable opportunity to be a dedicated father to their two children during their relationship, which spanned from 1998 to 2012. He noted that Paradis's tours allowed him to focus on family, a period he remembers with incredible fondness.

These reflections were shared during an interview in Tokyo, coinciding with the opening of an exhibition showcasing his artwork. Depp, who has navigated public scrutiny and legal battles, including his highly publicized disputes with Amber Heard, also spoke about the importance of creative outlets. He stated that acting, music, and painting are essential forms of expression that prevent him from feeling overwhelmed.

The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star has recently seen success with his art, with his "Friends and Heroes" collection selling out rapidly in 2022. Depp, who also plays music, emphasized that he doesn't consider himself a professional painter, but finds immense necessity in creating art. He also mentioned upcoming projects like "Day Drinker" and "Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol."
