Johnny Blue Skies: Mutiny Tour Hits North America

Johnny Blue Skies, an alias of Sturgill Simpson, is launching the Mutiny for the Masses Tour across North America. The tour, featuring his band the Dark Clouds, will support his album Mutiny After Midnight. Dates are scheduled for this fall and summer, kicking off in Austin, Texas, in early September and concluding on Halloween in Lexington, Kentucky. This extensive itinerary will present performances without any opening artists.

Mutiny After Midnight has achieved significant success, currently holding the No. 3 position on the Billboard 200, driven exclusively by physical sales. In anticipation of Record Store Day on April 18, Johnny Blue Skies & the Dark Clouds will release a special 7" vinyl featuring their renditions of Procol Harum's "A Whiter Shade of Pale" and William Bell's "You Don't Miss Your Water." Additionally, Sturgill Simpson is slated to appear in the upcoming film The Lonely Woman, which is currently in post-production.
