Turturro Shines as NYC Pickpocket in New Film

John Turturro embodies Harry Lehman, a seasoned pickpocket expertly plying his trade in the bustling landscape of New York City. His daily life requires constant vigilance and improvisation to spot opportunities. Harry's carefully constructed world is disrupted when he targets Dylan, a young man whose arrogance belies deeper trouble. This encounter forces Harry to confront the consequences of his actions. Inspired by the necessity and affinity that bind urban dwellers, the film highlights the informal networks of baristas, bartenders, and shop owners. These connections become Harry's essential support system. Among his key allies are Ben, a Bronx pawnshop owner who facilitates sales, and Eve, a younger thief who looks up to Harry like family.
