John Travolta's directorial debut, "Propeller One-Way Night Coach," is set to launch soon. The family film, adapted from his 1997 children's book, will premiere out of competition at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.
The movie, which Travolta wrote, directed, and produced, is scheduled to stream on Apple TV starting May 29. It chronicles the adventurous cross-country odyssey of a young airplane enthusiast named Jeff and his mother during the golden age of aviation.
Clark Shotwell stars as Jeff, with Kelly Eviston-Quinnett playing his mother. The production is an Apple Original Film, a joint venture by Travolta's JTP Films Inc. and Kids at Play. This marks Travolta's return to Cannes, where "Pulp Fiction" was previously showcased.
Despite directing, Travolta remains active as an actor with six upcoming film projects. These include "November 1963," "The Gentleman Thief," "That's Amore!," and "Black Tides."
