John Travolta Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at Torino Film Festival

John Travolta will be honored with a lifetime achievement award at the 44th Torino Film Festival. This esteemed Italian event, known for showcasing young directors and independent cinema, will also feature the second international festival screening of Travolta's directorial debut, "Propeller One-Way Night Coach." The film was previously shown out-of-competition at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

The festival's artistic director, Giulio Base, praised Travolta for revolutionizing screen presence and influencing generations with his charisma and iconic roles. The award ceremony will celebrate a career that includes enduring films such as 'Saturday Night Fever,' 'Grease,' 'Urban Cowboy,' 'Pulp Fiction,' 'Get Shorty,' 'Face/Off,' and 'Hairspray.'

"Propeller One-Way Night Coach," adapted from Travolta's 1997 children's book, follows a young aviation enthusiast's cross-country journey to Hollywood. Since May 29, the film has been available for streaming on Apple TV. The Torino Film Festival is scheduled to take place in Turin from November 24 to December 2.
