Travolta and Daughter Ella Tackle High-Seas Thriller in 'Black Tides'

John Travolta, the acclaimed 71-year-old actor, is set to star in the upcoming thriller 'Black Tides' alongside his 25-year-old daughter, Ella. The film, which has begun principal photography in Gran Canaria, Spain, follows an estranged father-daughter duo as they attempt to reconnect during a sailing trip off the Spanish coast.

However, their family reunion takes a dramatic turn when their boat is attacked by a pod of rogue orcas. The battle for survival against the killer whales becomes the central focus of the film, as the ship's crew fights for their lives in the open waters. Ella Travolta will play a key role in the thriller, alongside co-stars Melissa Barrera and Dylan Torrell.

According to the film's producer, Adrián Guerra, the cast has formed a rare and powerful bond during the challenging shoot at sea. Director Renny Harlin is said to be balancing the raw spectacle of the orca attack with the human emotion at the heart of the story.

This will mark Ella Travolta's fifth on-screen role, following her appearances in films like 'Old Dogs' and 'The Poison Rose' alongside her famous father. The young actress has also been candid about her passion for the arts, having released multiple music albums in addition to her acting pursuits.
