Actor John Stamos is set to release his first picture book, "Love from Above: A Story of Tiny Birds and Their Big Meaning," next spring. He collaborated on the project with his eight-year-old son, Billy. The book is aimed at children aged 4 to 8 and centers on a young boy who learns from his father about the symbolic meaning of hummingbirds.
Stamos explained that hummingbirds have always held a special significance for his family, particularly after his father passed away. His mother interpreted a hummingbird sighting as a sign from his father, cementing the idea that loved ones are never truly gone. This personal connection inspired the book's narrative.
"Love from Above" illustrates how love endures and finds new ways to manifest, even after loss. Stamos, who also illustrated the book, hopes it offers comfort and hope to children who have lost grandparents, pets, or other cherished individuals. The book is scheduled to be available on April 20, 2027.
This venture follows Stamos's 2023 memoir, "If You Would Have Told Me," and highlights his family's shared interest in storytelling. Billy previously encouraged fans to support his father's memoir, demonstrating their collaborative spirit.
The book's theme of love's lasting power addresses the finality children often feel during grief, offering a message of continuity and remembrance.
