John Stamos Recalls Telling Elizabeth Taylor Off

John Stamos recounted an unexpected encounter with Elizabeth Taylor during his time on General Hospital. The legendary actress visited the set as a fan while Stamos was filming a scene where he had to cry. Struggling to produce tears, Stamos and an older actor's trick of calling out an "eyeline" issue came to mind. He then famously told Taylor, "Get that old woman out of my eyeline!" only to realize it was her.

Stamos also shared an anecdote about Sammy Davis Jr. guest-starring on the soap opera. Initially, Stamos wanted to play drums, and Davis Jr. facilitated this. The actor further discussed Dean Martin's advice when he considered leaving General Hospital to pursue comedy. When the producer asked Martin about loyalty, he simply told Stamos, "Run."
