Having been asked each season, Stamos made it clear to producers that he will not participate. He humorously recalled telling them, 'Don't ever ask me again.' Even attempts by podcast host Bobby Bones, a former 'DWTS' winner, to persuade him were unsuccessful. Stamos's stance has been consistent since at least 2010, when he publicly tweeted his refusal, stating he was not a dancer.
