John Leguizamo Joins 'Cyclovia' Film on Colombia's Bicycle Culture

John Leguizamo has joined "Cyclovia," a new feature documentary from BAFTA-winning director Finlay Pretsell, as an executive producer. The film, shot across five regions of Colombia, aims to explore the nation's profound cultural connection with the bicycle.

Director Finlay Pretsell noted that "Cyclovia" delves into the inherent presence of cycling in Colombian DNA, moving beyond professional racing. The documentary will capture the cinematic and wild spirit of the sport, featuring intense scenes like gravity bikers in Medellín navigating busy streets at high speeds.

Leguizamo expressed his enthusiasm, stating his love for cycling and Latin content. He believes the film captures Colombia's unique relationship with the bicycle on a grand scale. Producer Sonja Henrici highlighted Leguizamo's role in bringing Latin stories to the forefront and expanding the film's reach beyond traditional festival circuits to communities like Bogotá and the Bronx.
