John Cusack Reveals Pulp Fiction Near Miss

John Cusack has revealed that he met with Quentin Tarantino to discuss a role in the celebrated 1994 film Pulp Fiction. The actor recounted meeting Tarantino at a Denny's, where the director detailed the entire movie's plot. Cusack noted that while he found the story compelling, he never received a formal offer for the part ultimately played by Eric Stoltz.

In the same interview, Cusack also discussed his involvement in Terrence Malick's 1998 war film, The Thin Red Line. He acknowledged the unpredictable nature of Malick's editing, which led to uncertainty among the cast regarding their final screen time. Cusack also addressed persistent rumors that he turned down the lead role of Walter White in the acclaimed series Breaking Bad. He directly asked Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, who confirmed that the role was never offered to Cusack.
