Joe confirmed that he often reads the signs held up by fans, including those with PG-13 content, while filming the audience with his camera during performances.
While he tries not to capture the more risqué signs on film, Joe says he finds the creative fan displays "fun" and enjoys interacting with the crowd. The "Cake by the Ocean" singer explained that the band has a segment in their shows where they take song requests from the audience, and he uses that time to scan the crowd and read the signs.
Joe's bandmate, 33-year-old Nick Jonas, backed up this claim, identifying Joe as the member who is "easily distracted while on stage." The Jonas Brothers are currently in the midst of their Jonas20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour, which kicked off in August 2025.
Despite being 20 years into their career, the Jonas Brothers remain grateful for their supportive fanbase and the opportunity to continue doing what they love. As Joe told PEOPLE in June 2025, "I wake up every morning, [and] I'm ready. I get to do what I love for a living, so I'm happy to keep it going."
