Jodie Foster was observed using a cane during a recent grocery shopping trip in New York City, accompanied by her wife, Alexandra Hedison. The acclaimed actress, 63, was photographed carrying several bags and pausing to rest, at one point requiring assistance from Hedison, 56.

The specific reason for Foster's use of the cane was not immediately disclosed, and her representative was unavailable for comment. This sighting contrasts with her appearance in Beverly Hills, California, in March, where she was not using a cane.
