Jodie Comer's New HBO Thriller: A Mother's Nightmare

Jodie Comer, an Emmy Award winner, is joining HBO for a new limited series titled 'The Chain'. Comer is slated to star as Rachel, a suburban mother thrust into a terrifying ordeal when her daughter is abducted.

The series draws inspiration from Adrian McKinty's bestselling novel of the same name. It details a disturbing criminal enterprise that forces parents to kidnap another child to secure the safe return of their own.

Damon Lindelof, known for his work on 'The Leftovers,' is attached to write and executive produce 'The Chain.' He will also serve as showrunner for the HBO project, which received a straight-to-series order in January and aims to expand the novel's narrative.

Comer is widely recognized for her acclaimed role as Villanelle in 'Killing Eve,' a performance that earned her an Emmy in 2019. Her previous television credits include 'The White Princess' and the British drama 'Help.'
