Wild West Thriller: Luxury Ranch Hides Deadly Secrets

Jo Piazza's "The Last Ride," releasing on July 6, 2027, offers a thrilling escape to a luxury dude ranch in the Wild West. The novel centers on Marley Morgan's vacation, intended as a romantic getaway to the upscale Eden Dude Ranch, complete with horse rides and cocktails.

However, Marley is unaware of her husband's concealed plans. Meanwhile, ranch hand Grace Duncan sought refuge at the ranch over a decade ago, finding romance but becoming entangled with guests.

The narrative intensifies as loyalties waver and motives become unclear. Desperation, opportunity, and wealth could transform unsuspecting individuals into potential killers, creating a suspenseful atmosphere.

Piazza describes the book as a woman-centric Western, filled with "sexy wranglers, rich people behaving badly and the upstairs/downstairs shenanigans of a luxury vacation property." She likens the tone to "Yellowstone meets The White Lotus with the right amount of Dirty Dancing."
