Jennifer Lopez is embracing her rom-com past and future as she prepares for her new film, 'Office Romance.' This comes two decades after her celebrated role in the 2002 classic 'Maid in Manhattan.' Lopez recently shared nostalgic behind-the-scenes photos from 'Maid in Manhattan' on social media, captioning them with "So many feelings! Such wonderful memories!"
She also teased her upcoming project, 'Office Romance,' noting it marks her return to the genre with a new "RomCom era." Describing the film to Andy Cohen last October, Lopez hinted it would be a departure from her typical wholesome romantic comedies. She characterized 'Office Romance' as "a little raunchy," likening its humor to films like 'Knocked Up' and 'Something About Mary.'
Directed by Ol Parker, 'Office Romance' is scheduled to premiere on Netflix this summer. The film features Lopez alongside Brett Goldstein, who also co-wrote the script with Joe Kelly. The cast also includes Betty Gilpin, Tony Hale, Amy Sedaris, and Edward James Olmos. Lopez's recent acting credits include 'Kiss of the Spider-Woman' and an uncredited cameo in 'Anaconda,' with 'The Last Mrs. Parrish' also on the horizon.
