Comedian Jimmy O. Yang has announced a theatrical release for his third comedy special, titled 'Finally Home.' The show was taped during a triumphant arena tour in his hometown of Hong Kong.
'Finally Home' will debut exclusively at Emperor Cinemas in Hong Kong on March 20, followed by a wide release in US and Canadian theaters on March 27. Yang, who proudly calls himself the "Taylor Swift of Hong Kong," created a spectacular homecoming event featuring pyrotechnics and musical performances.
This release marks a significant milestone, as Yang becomes the first Chinese-American comedian to premiere a stand-up special in theaters across both America and Hong Kong. The hour-long special delves into his family, his immigrant experience returning home after 25 years, and includes a mix of English and subtitled Cantonese.
The performances took place at the Hong Kong Coliseum in June 2025, where Yang entertained over 35,000 fans across five sold-out shows. Demand led to an expansion from the originally scheduled two nights to five. Yang also recently starred in the Hulu series 'Interior Chinatown' and is known for his roles in 'Silicon Valley' and 'Crazy Rich Asians.'
