Hailing from Mesa, Arizona, the acclaimed rock band Jimmy Eat World is being honored by their hometown with a special collaboration. The Mesa Public Library has launched a limited-edition library card featuring the band, available to all who live, work, or attend school within Maricopa County. This initiative allows existing library cardholders to exchange their current cards for the unique Jimmy Eat World design.
The partnership extends beyond the card itself, as Jimmy Eat World has contributed a curated list of book recommendations. Their selections include notable works such as 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' and 'The Wager.' This collaboration follows similar initiatives by other public libraries, highlighting a growing trend of engaging with popular culture.
In related news, Jimmy Eat World recently embarked on a North American tour in June to commemorate the 25th anniversary of their album 'Bleed American.' The tour included appearances at Warped Tour, marking their return to the festival after more than two decades. The band is scheduled to conclude their tour in November.
