The animated comedy "Jim Queen" is preparing for its North American debut, with Global Constellation introducing the English-language version to buyers at the Toronto Film Festival. The film features Jordan Firstman and Matteo Lane as the lead voice actors.
"Jim Queen" centers on Jim, a former Pride royalty, who becomes a social outcast when a virus named Heterosis begins turning gay men straight in Paris. With his friend Lucien, he must race against time to find a cure before the community is erased.
The movie premiered to significant buzz at the Cannes Film Festival, where it was praised by festival director Thierry Frémaux. It opened in French theaters on June 17, securing the third spot at the box office and has since surpassed 370,000 admissions and earned over $3 million.
