Jim Carrey in Talks to Star in Live-Action 'The Jetsons' Reboot

According to recent reports, veteran actor Jim Carrey is in talks to star in a live-action feature film adaptation of the classic cartoon series 'The Jetsons' at Warner Bros. Additionally, director Colin Trevorrow is also being eyed to helm the project.

The original 'The Jetsons' animated series was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions and aired on ABC from September 1962 to March 1963. The show followed the futuristic Jetson family, including father George, his wife Jane, teenage daughter Judy, and young son Elroy, as they navigated life in a world of flying cars, high-rises, and advanced technology. There was also a reboot of the series that ran from 1985 to 1987.

While details about the live-action adaptation remain scarce, the success of Warner Bros.' previous Hanna-Barbera live-action adaptations, such as the 'Scooby-Doo' films, suggests that the studio is confident in bringing 'The Jetsons' to the big screen. With Carrey's comedic talents and Trevorrow's directorial experience, the film could offer a fresh and entertaining take on the beloved cartoon classic.
