The series draws inspiration from Elizabeth Beller's book, 'Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy.'
Starring Paul Anthony Kelly as JFK Jr. and Sarah Pidgeon as Carolyn Bessette, the series chronicles their celebrated romance. The press release describes their connection as immediate, electric, and undeniable, highlighting how intense fame and media scrutiny threatened their relationship. The show also features Grace Gummer as Caroline Kennedy and Naomi Watts as Jackie Kennedy Onassis, among others.
The narrative of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette's lives tragically concluded in 1999. Their lives were lost, along with Bessette's sister Lauren, when the single-engine airplane piloted by JFK Jr. crashed into the Atlantic Ocean near Martha's Vineyard. The NTSB cited spatial disorientation as the cause of the accident.
