Paul Anthony Kelly, currently portraying John F. Kennedy Jr. in the FX anthology miniseries 'Love Story,' announced he has become a father. Kelly confirmed on The Kelly Clarkson Show that he and his wife, production manager Syd Widziszewski-Kelly, welcomed their first child in January. The couple learned of the pregnancy on the same day Kelly had a callback for the role. The series, which details the three-year marriage of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, has faced considerable criticism.
Despite the show's controversy, including objections from Kennedy's nephew Jack Schlossberg, Kelly and his co-star Sarah Pidgeon (playing Bessette) expressed their commitment to portraying the couple with care. Executive producer Brad Simpson acknowledged the sensitive nature of dramatizing real tragedies. The miniseries is based on the book 'Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette Kennedy' and covers their relationship up to their deaths in 1999.
