Jesy Nelson & Zion Foster Split After Twins' Diagnosis

Former Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson, 34, and rapper Zion Foster, 26, have reportedly ended their engagement. This news comes just weeks after they publicly shared that their eight-month-old twin daughters, Ocean and Story, were diagnosed with Type 1 spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).

Despite the romantic split, Nelson and Foster are committed to co-parenting their children. Nelson was recently seen without her engagement ring, having previously spoken on This Morning about her daughters' condition. SMA Type 1 is a severe neuromuscular disorder that typically presents in infancy, causing significant muscle weakness and breathing difficulties.

Nelson has launched a campaign advocating for routine SMA screening at birth, urging for the condition to be added to newborn blood spot tests. Foster described their daughters as "two little warriors" in a heartfelt poem shared on Instagram, expressing his love and acceptance regardless of future challenges.

Health Secretary Wes Streeting has backed Nelson's campaign for improved screening processes for SMA. Scotland has announced it will begin screening babies for SMA in the spring, though it is not yet available nationwide in the UK.
