Irish actress Jessie Buckley has joyfully confirmed the arrival of her first child, a baby girl. She shared this personal news during an interview on "The New York Times Modern Love" podcast, revealing that both she and the baby are doing well.

Buckley described her experience as a new parent as "intense" but immensely fulfilling, noting the profound changes in her life and her relationship with the world. She mentioned that her daughter is already showing a "little personality" and determination. Buckley also shared that she became pregnant a week after wrapping up filming for the historical drama "Hamnet," in which she stars alongside Paul Mescal.

Her pregnancy was first publicly visible when she attended CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas on April 1, sporting a noticeable baby bump. Buckley, who tends to keep her private life out of the spotlight, reportedly married her husband, Freddie, in a private ceremony in 2023. The couple resides in Norfolk, though they also split their time with a flat in Dalston.
