On November 2, 2025, Jessica Simpson, the popular "With You" singer, marked the 8th anniversary of her sobriety. In a heartfelt Instagram post, the 45-year-old opened up about her decision to confront and let go of the "self-sabotaging parts" of her life that she had been choosing.
Simpson, who shares three children with her estranged husband Eric Johnson, revealed that alcohol had previously "silenced her intuition, blocked her dreams and chased her circulating fears of complacency." However, the singer says that making the choice to get sober in 2017 has had a profound impact on her overall way of life.
"Today I am clear. Today I am driven by faith," Simpson wrote. "Both fear and faith are something that we feel and may not see, I'm so happy I chose faith over fear." The mother of three added that her strength came not from the "fight" but from the "surrender" - a powerful testament to her journey of self-acceptance and personal growth.
