Draper intends to share her story with unprecedented honesty, including the painful experiences and undisclosed parts of her narrative. This comes after weeks of season 5 of her series airing and months following her split from husband Jordan Ngatikaura, with whom she is divorcing.

She has previously discussed the dissolution of both her marriages, first to Zach Gish and then to Ngatikaura, on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast. Draper is a mother to son Jagger, 6, and daughter Jovi, 3, with Ngatikaura.

Following her separation, Draper has been seen with Marciano Brunette, a relationship that began with an acknowledged kiss and emotional affair during her marriage.
