Seinfeld Claims He Invented AmEx Black Card

In a recent interview, comedian Jerry Seinfeld elaborated on his role in the creation of the American Express Centurion Card, commonly known as the Black Card. Seinfeld recounted that while filming a commercial, a crew member inquired about his possession of the exclusive card. This sparked his interest, leading him to contact American Express president Harvey Golub.

Seinfeld claims he proposed the idea to Golub, who initially stated the card was merely a rumor. Following their conversation, the card was developed, and Seinfeld asserts he was the very first person to receive one. He later mentioned, with a laugh, that he no longer possesses the original card.
