9 Mar
Summary
- Actress Jennifer Runyon prioritized motherhood over career to cherish family moments.
- She and her husband relocated their family to Idaho and Oregon for a decade.
- Runyon returned to acting in 2015 after a 22-year break to raise children.

Jennifer Runyon spoke about her deliberate decision to pause her Hollywood career to focus on raising her children. She explained that growing up with working parents and nannies made her desire to be present for her own children's milestones. Runyon and her husband relocated their family from Hollywood to Idaho and Oregon for about ten years to achieve this goal.
Upon returning to California, Runyon found ways to stay involved, teaching improv exercises in her children's schools to help them overcome public speaking fears. This period concluded when her daughter was a high school junior and her son began college. She later became involved with Tilly's Life Center (TLC).
After a 22-year absence from the spotlight, Runyon returned to acting in 2015. Her final role was in the 2025 film Spectral Squad: The Haunting of Sophie Lawson. Jennifer Runyon passed away on Friday, March 6, at the age of 65, following a six-month battle with cancer.
