In previous years, Hudson has honored musical legends with memorable costumes. In 2023, she channeled Missy Elliott, recreating the iconic balloon look from the "The Rain" music video. The year before, she paid tribute to Whitney Houston, embodying the "Queen of the Night" persona from The Bodyguard. Her inaugural Halloween episode in 2022 featured a costume inspired by Whoopi Goldberg's Sister Mary Clarence from Sister Act.
