Fifteen years after Jenni Rivera made history by selling out the Staples Center, a recording of that iconic performance is now available on digital platforms. Titled "Mírame Desde Staples Center," the live album was released on Thursday, September 3rd, marking the actual anniversary of the concert.
The release captures one of the most emblematic performances of Rivera's career. The three-hour concert featured a 45-song setlist, showcasing her versatility with banda, mariachi, and norteño music. Her daughter, Jacqie Rivera, CEO of Jenni Rivera Enterprises, shared that Rivera often felt nervous despite her success, highlighting her resilience.
"Mírame Desde Staples Center" includes special guest appearances by Alejandra Guzmán and Olga Tañón. Victor Gonzalez of Virgin Music Group stated the concert is a historic moment for regional Mexican music and a full expression of Mexican identity in the U.S.
Jenni Rivera, a trailblazer in regional Mexican music, had over 30 songs on Billboard's Regional Mexican Airplay chart. Tragically, she passed away in a plane crash in 2012 at the age of 43.
