In September 2025, her stylist Enrique Melendez recalled the 30-pound Givenchy top adorned with jewels worn by Ortega at the 2025 Emmy Awards, noting her playful request for a more practical outfit next time due to its weight.

One month later, Ortega appeared at the Academy Museum Gala in a Grace Ling metallic breastplate. Melendez admitted to losing sleep over the ensemble, concerned it was too similar to her previous hardware-centric look, but ultimately felt they made the right decision.
