Musician Jenn Wasner Embraces Uncertainty on New Album

In October 2025, musician Jenn Wasner releases her third solo album under the moniker Flock of Dimes. The album, titled "The Life You Save," is an offering of uncertainty, as Wasner grapples with her own narrative and the role she had taken within her family dealing with addiction and mental health issues.

Wasner, known for her electric guitar work in Wye Oak and collaborations with Bon Iver, has chosen a bold new direction for this project. Forgoing the dramatic, corroding sound she is known for, the album dwells in limpid, light-dappled acoustic and folktronic arrangements guided by Wasner's powerful vocal melodies. This shift in style reflects Wasner's newfound humility, as she examines the ego inherent in being a "savior" and the weight it has placed on both herself and her loved ones.
