Jen Affleck Files Divorce Amid Fourth Pregnancy

Jen Affleck has detailed her reasons for filing for divorce from Zac Affleck, a decision made while she is pregnant with their fourth child. Affleck explained that she needed to finalize the divorce before giving birth to avoid the heightened emotional vulnerability of the postpartum period, which she feared might lead her to repeat past patterns. She stated her intent to no longer 'forget' or 'survive' difficult marital issues, prompted by rewatching her reality show.

Contrary to reports, Affleck clarified that Zac was not blindsided by her petition for divorce, which was filed in Provo, Utah. She indicated she had been communicating her unhappiness and desire for divorce for a significant time. Affleck also expressed deep gratitude for the support of her co-stars on 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,' crediting their shared experiences for giving her the strength to proceed with the difficult decision.

Zac Affleck acknowledged in a social media post that the couple had discussed divorce for about a year. He recalled begging Jen to stay after she expressed her unhappiness following 'Dancing With the Stars,' but ultimately, they could not reconcile their differences. Despite the separation, Zac stated he still loves Jen and will always be her supporter.
