Dunham: Comedy Should Mock Everyone

Jeff Dunham recently appeared on Planet Tyrus for an in-depth conversation with host Tyrus. The renowned ventriloquist discussed the complexities of modern comedy, particularly the impact of cancel culture on performers and their work.

Dunham shared fascinating insights into the creation and personalities of his beloved puppet characters, including Walter, Peanut, and Achmed the Dead Terrorist. He spoke about the significant risks he has encountered throughout his career, emphasizing his belief that humor should aim to provoke thought and laughter from all corners of society.

The comedian also detailed a specific instance where a joke he told generated severe backlash, leading to death threats and an investigation by the FBI. This experience underscored the often precarious line comedians walk when addressing sensitive topics.
