Actor Jayaram recently addressed the social media backlash he faced due to divergent accounts of his absence during the climax shoot of the movie 'Twenty:20'. Old interview clips resurfaced, showing conflicting explanations for his whereabouts.

Jayaram acknowledged that he erred in his past statements, explaining that the significant passage of time, 15 to 20 years, made it difficult to recall precise details. He mentioned that even those involved in the incident couldn't recall the exact sequence of events, suggesting age might contribute to memory lapses.

The actor also detailed his close ties to Tamil Nadu, stemming from his family's origins in Palakkad and Kumbakonam, and his upbringing in Perumbavoor. He highlighted speaking Tamil with his mother and maintaining connections with relatives there.

Furthermore, Jayaram pointed out his extensive professional history in Chennai, where he has resided for 32 years. He drew a parallel to individuals working in other cities for decades, questioning how one defines their origin when they have lived elsewhere for a significant period.
