Jaz-O, a notable figure in hip-hop and an early collaborator of Jay-Z, recently reunited with his onetime protégé. They recreated Jaz-O's contribution to the 'Reasonable Doubt' track titled 'Bring It On.' Jaz-O, who is only five years older than Jay-Z, hails from the same Marcy Houses neighborhood.
Their musical journey began in the mid-1980s, initially releasing music as the duo High Potent. Jaz-O signed with EMI in the late 1980s and included Jay-Z on his 1988 debut album, 'Word to the Jaz,' featuring him on the song 'Hawaiian Sophie.'
Remarkably, a photographer named Timothy White rediscovered a forgotten photograph of Jay-Z from a 1988 cover shoot for 'Word to the Jaz.' This image resurfaced decades later, around the time of Jay-Z's '4:44' album release. Currently, Jay-Z is slated for two additional performances at Yankee Stadium on July 11 and July 12, promising unique experiences for each show.
