Jax Taylor Seeks Solo Status Amid Divorce Turmoil

Former "Vanderpump Rules" star Jax Taylor is seeking to be legally declared single as his divorce from Brittany Cartwright progresses. Taylor filed court documents requesting a judge to bifurcate their divorce, allowing him to be officially single while the broader settlement negotiations concerning finances, property, and support continue. He stated in his declaration that he desires to divorce now and move on with his life as an unmarried person.

Taylor's legal team asserts that the marriage is irreparable and that keeping them legally bound as husband and wife benefits no one. He claims Cartwright has not responded to his request for bifurcation and was unprepared for a recent settlement conference, which he attended ready to negotiate. Consequently, Taylor has asked the court to sanction Cartwright for more than $9,000, alleging she is deliberately dragging out the divorce proceedings. The couple, who share a son named Cruz, filed for divorce in August 2024, concluding five years of marriage. Both have recently obtained temporary restraining orders against each other.
